A day in the life…
As a Consumer Health Sales Summer Associate, you’ll join Bayer’s Canadian Sales team and learn how go-to-market strategy, distribution networks and retail partnerships drive commercial performance and consumer health outcomes. Based out of our Mississauga office, you’ll work hybrid and support the full Sales & eCommerce organization—contributing to promotional planning, digital shelf management, and trade execution that help Bayer’s consumer brands lead their categories.
Typical activities:
Optimize and maintain product detail pages across retailer sites and marketplaces (titles, bullets, descriptions, images, A+ / enhanced content).
Execute content uploads and catalog updates on platforms like Amazon Vendor/Seller, major retailer portals and retailer CMS.
Implement and monitor on-site SEO/search terms and product taxonomy to improve discoverability and share of search.
Monitor online pricing, availability, inventory health and out-of-stock risks; coordinate with Supply Chain to support replenishment for eComm demand.
Manage ratings & reviews activities: flag issues, coordinate response or escalation, and support strategies to drive review growth.
Perform digital shelf audits and content QA to ensure compliance with retailer requirements, brand standards and legal/regulatory guidelines.
Prepare and update eCommerce dashboards and weekly KPI reports
Support feed management tasks (metadata, GTIN/UPC mapping, image requirements) and troubleshoot content or listing errors.
Assist with marketplace and competitor scans to inform pricing, promotional cadence and assortment decisions.
Contribute to execution of Bayer’s CARS strategy (Content, Assortment, Ratings/Reviews, Search) for online channels.
Support the building of quick commerce (door dash, uber eats, Instacart)
What you’ll learn and gain:
Hands-on experience managing the digital shelf and optimizing product pages for conversion and search discoverability.
Practical exposure to marketplace operations and seller/vendor platforms (e.g., Amazon workflows, retailer portals).
Ability to read and act on eCommerce metrics — sessions, conversion rate, add-to-cart rate, share of search,— and translate them into recommendations.
Understanding of online assortment and inventory planning, and how supply chain constraints affect eCommerce execution.
Familiarity with tools used in digital retail analytics
Improved stakeholder skills through cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Media, Category Insights and Supply Chain.
Real-world experience creating dashboards and trade-sell materials tailored to eCommerce customers — marketable skills for digital commerce careers.
What you bring to the table…
Currently enrolled in a post secondary program and returning to full time studies after the summer; at least 2 years completed in a business program with emphasis on marketing, finance, economics or related field.
Quick learner with a problem solving mindset and a commitment to getting things done.
Interest in digital media, eCommerce fundamentals and retail execution.
Intermediate data analysis skills and comfort working with databases.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, PivotTables).
Experience preparing and delivering presentations.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Additional assets
Familiarity with Amazon Seller/Vendor platforms, retailer portals (Walmart.ca, grocery/CC/CDN retailers) or BrandViewPro.
Experience with TPM systems, Power BI / Tableau, SQL or basic Python.
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for content formatting.
